RCMBXI Re-opens Effective May 18, 2020

During GCQ

Davao City – “The Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch XI re-opens effective May 18, 2020 on a four-day workweek arrangement following the government’s announcement on the lifting of Enhanced Community Quarantine and the issuance of the City’s Executive Order No. 33, an Order Providing for the Implementation of General Community Quarantine effective May 16, 2020 to May 31, 2020 in Davao Region unless further extended, modified or withdrawn,” OIC-Director Aerrine Marie Reyes announced earlier yesterday.

“My staff physically reported to the office prior to re-opening to sanitize and re-layout our office in line with the protocol of protecting ourselves from the spread of COVID 19,” Dir. Reyes added.

2“We also emphasize that though we are open, we also have to follow the guidelines in the suspension of conciliation-mediation and voluntary arbitration proceedings during the community quarantine pursuant to Administrative Order No. 30 issued by President Rodrigo Duterte on April 21, 2020 and Department Order No. 213 issued by Secretary Silvestre Bello on May 5, 2020. Based on these guidelines, conciliation-mediation conferences of Preventive Mediation, Notice of Strike/Lockout and Actual Strike/Lockout shall be scheduled after the lifting of community quarantine, however, parties may opt to meet via teleconferencing upon their agreement. Likewise, Voluntary Arbitration cases pending before the Accredited Voluntary Arbitrators are deemed suspended during this period. Filing for request for assistance which is under Single Entry Approach (SEnA) and the scheduled conferences prior to pandemic are, likewise suspended for the said duration,” she said further.

The office has also a portable foot-operated hand washing area where touching the surface is not needed to help everyone avoid any contact with water tap and the soap dispenser by hand.  It is located right at the entrance near the security guard to ensure that all people entering the premise must wash their hands first.

The office can be reached through phone calls at landline numbers 226-3465 or 295-7083 or at email add Sheila A. Rivera
