RCMBXI Launches the 2019 Search for Outstanding LMC and GM

for Industrial Peace

“We launched in the region the 2019 Search for Outstanding Labor Management Cooperation (LMC) and Grievance Machinery for Industrial at Café Demitasse, F. Torres St., Davao City on May 10, 2019,” OIC-Director Aerrine Marie R. Reyes said.

This was conducted following the launching at the national level of the 2019 Search for Outstanding LMC for Industrial Peace and GM for Industrial Peace which was held on March 28, 2019 at Hotel Jen, Roxas Blvd., Manila.

Companies in the region that manifested to submit their respective entries willingly joined in this gathering namely Apex Mining Co., Inc., Dole Stanfilco, Inc., Davao Light & Power Co., Inc., Davao Doctors Hospital, Inc. and Tagum Agricultural Development Co., Inc., a two-time winner for the search in 2013 and 2015.

Affiliates of TADECO also joined namely Davao Integrated Container Terminal (DICT), Davao Packaging Corp. (DAPACOR), Panabo Trucking Services, Inc. (PTSI) and its federation, Southern Mindanao Federations of Labor (SMFL).

Dr. Gina Fe Israel, formerly the President of the Philippine League of Labor-Management Cooperation Practitioners (PHILAMCOP), Inc. and presently one of its Board of Directors, Mr. Julius Jonelas, President of the Association of Labor Management Cooperation Practitioners (ALMACOP), Davao Chapter and and almost all of its officers attended in the activity.


The branch acknowledged each attendee and all the companies present.



Dir. Reyes warmly welcomed all the guests and gave them inspirational messages.


Atty. Jason P. Balais, Assistant Regional Director of the Department of Labor and Employment, Regional Office XI also gave very inspiring messages.  He emphasized the importance of social dialogue, labor management cooperation in particular, and expressed his gratitude to the LMC practitioners-companies for partnering with the government in the quest for industrial peace.


Senior Labor and Employment Officer gave the overview of the said search and its criteria.

There was also showcase or video presentation of the 2017 Awardees namely the Rohm Electronics, Inc. for the unorganized company category, Dole Phils., Inc. for the organized companies category and Carmen Copper Corp. as 2017 awardee for GM for Industrial Peace.

Interested companies were also given a chance to raise questions and clarifications regarding the criteria.

The activity ended with closing remarks given by Conciliator-mediator Oliver C. Jao.
