DAVAO CITY. The Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch 11 recognized 13 companies and awarded Labor Relations Certificate of Compliance during the 1st Regional Tripartite General Assembly conducted by the Department of Labor and Employment, Regional Office XI held last December 9, 2014 at Garden Oases Convention Center along Porras St., this city.
The recipients of said award were Assumption College of Davao, Inc.; Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU); Davao Central Chemical Corp. (DCCC); Davao Doctor’s College, Inc.; Davao Doctor’s Hospital, Inc. (Clinica Hilario); Davao Light & Power Co. (DLPC); Del Monte Fresh Produce (Phils.), Inc.; Hedcor, Inc.; Nader Ebrahim Hassan (Phils.); Philippine-Japan Active Carbon Corp. (PJAC); RO Tesoro and Sons, Inc.; Tagum Agricultural Development Co., Inc. (TADECO); and University of Mindanao (UM).
This activity was conducted in recognition of the company’s initiative in promoting voluntary compliance towards achieving Tripartite Seal of Excellence throughout the region.
Also, there were 24 companies awarded of Tripartite Certificate of Compliance with Labor Standards and 13 other companies for Child Labor-Free Establishment Award.
Present during the occasion to give the award were Atty. Jeoffrey M. Suyao, DOLE-ROXI Regional Director, OIC-Director Ma. Theresa M. Francisco and other DOLE attached agencies heads.
One of the agenda of the assembly is the discussion on the AITC Summit Resolutions Nos. 1, 2 and 3, series of 2014; the Voluntary Code of Good Practices and Operational Guidelines of Tourism Industry Tripartite Council; and Maritime Industry Tripartite Council Resolution No. 1, series of 2014 among others.
Part also of the program is the ceremonial signing of VCGP in tourism industry by officers of the Tourism Industry Tripartite Council. #dmg1
