RBXI Stays Connected Amidst ECQ Implementation

The Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch XI continues to stay connected with clients and render services via online and other means of network communication amidst the implementation of the work suspension.  It started from four-day work week to one-day duty per week effective March 23 to April 3, 2020 to Work from Home starting April 4 to May 15, 2020  with the declaration of the government on Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) due to the increasing number of COVID-19 positive that includes Davao Region, particularly in Davao City.

OIC-Director Aerrine Marie Reyes continues to be on duty during these times of lockdown. “We ensure that we can respond immediately to the needs of our clients and submit the reports on time to Central Office. We also answer queries, most of these were about the COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP) of DOLE,” Dir. Reyes said.

The branch has also its exclusive chat room to keep each other updated and to ensure that the reports are submitted. Some staff also report to work in the exigency of service.

Likewise, parties with pending notice of strike, preventive mediation cases as well as request for assistance (RFA) filed in the branch also voluntarily agreed to postpone the conciliation conferences until the lifting of the lockdown and agreed not to do any actions that would aggravate the issues.

In the meantime, Dir. Reyes spends her time productively in the garden with urban gardening. These were the flowers and vegetables planted during the activity for Green Our DOLE Program of the branch.

The branch also emphasized that the protocol measures are also being observed and implemented such as wearing of mask, social distancing, foot bath at the entrance of the building and other sanitations.
