Davao City – The Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch 11 turn-over its service vehicle Toyota Tamaraw FX to Barangay Baliok, Talomo District, this city on May 4, 2015 under the administration of Hon. Antonio A. Tanasas, Punong Barangay.
“We fervently hope that said service vehicle will boost the efficient and effective delivery of services of Barangay Baliok,” OIC Director Ma. Theresa Francisco said during the turn-over.
The request of the barangay was manifested under Barangay Resolution No. 16-2015, series of 2015 adopted and approved during the 7th Regular Session of the Sanguniang Barangay on April 8, 2015 duly signed by the members of the honorable council of Barangay Baliok present.
Though the said service vehicle is still in good running condition, it was “transferred without cost” due to the Branch limited budget for high cost of repairs and maintenance.
Also, it is in accord with Commission on Audit (COA) rule that any government agency must dispose its old service vehicle prior to the acquisition of new one.
The transfer was evidenced by an invoice receipt and deed of donation together with the vehicle keys, original Certificate of Registration (CR) and Official Receipt (OR) which were handed down over during the turn-over ceremony.
Punong Barangay Tanasas was very flattered for granting said vehicle to their barangay. “Malaki po ang maitutulong ng sasakyang ito upang maiparating ang aming serbisyo-publiko sa buong barangay na aming nasasakupan at para sa ikabubuti ng mga taong aming pinaglilingkuran,” Hon. Tanasas said in behalf of the members of his barangay council.
“It was a wagon year 2000 model with Plate No. SFN-975 color 3J8 red wine / maroon serving the Branch for over 15 years,” Supply Officer Lougelyn Deocareza said when asked about the details of the vehicle.# (Dennis M. Galorio)
