DAVAO CITY. Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch 11 OIC Director Ma. Theresa M. Francisco inducted the Davao Accredited Voluntary Arbitrators Organization (DAVAO), Inc. new set of officers during their Induction Rites and Christmas Fellowship held last December 5, 2014 at the Grand Men Seng Hotel along Pichon St., this city.

On her message, OIC Francisco reiterated the agenda of Labor Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz which insistent on the need for reforms in labor arbitration and adjudication systems in the department – restore integrity and fairness in the system, remove red tape and achieve the 100% case disposition rate.

“This may sound difficult to achieve but we can perhaps start the journey towards this direction by enhancing the quality of decisions to improve our affirmation rates for appealed cases and by adhering to the 20-day prescriptive period within which to decide VA cases,” OIC Francisco said.

Spearheaded by the perennial President Atty. Art O. Tan, the newly elected officers of DAVAO Inc. for 2015-2016 were Mr. Alfredo C. Olvida, Vice President; Atty. Rosamyrna T. Gallego, Secretary; Mr. Rulfo V. Asis, Treasurer; Atty. Ronieto B. Bata, Auditor; Judge Rosalina L. Montejo, Atty. Reynaldo C. Echavez, Atty. Bienvenido D. Cariaga, Atty. Rolando P. Arañas, and Atty. The new name Davao Accredited Voluntary Arbitrators Organization (DAVAO), Inc. (formerly Association of Voluntary Arbitrators, Inc. (AVAI) is a brainchild of Atty. Rolando Arañas, was duly registered at Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) with registration number CN201431876 dated August 26, 2014.#dmg1
