NCMB-RBXI Finally Settles Bargaining Issues at HCDC


Davao City – “The labor dispute between Holy Cross of Davao College Faculty Union-Association of Democratic Labor Organizaiton (HCDCFU-ADLO-KMU) and Holy Cross of Davao College is finally settled” OIC-Director Aerrine Marie R. Reyes announced today.

HCDCFU-ADLO-KMU filed a Notice of Strike case against Holy Cross of Davao College on the ground of bargaining deadlock on February 20, 2018.  The school also filed a Notice of Lockout on the same ground.  The two (2) cases were heard jointly considering that these cases were related.

“Several conciliation conferences were held to amicably settle these cases”, said Conciliator-Mediator Oliver Jao.

The parties finally came up with settlement agreement on economic and non-economic provisions on May 16, 2018.

Total monetary benefits is estimated at P8,365,360.00.

Holy Cross of Davao College is a SEC-registered, Filipino, Catholic, Archdiocesan, non-profit, non-stock educational Corporation.  It is presently supervised by the Roman Catholic Bishop of Davao (as corporate sole).  The school is governed by Board of Trustees.

HCDC-ADLO-KMU represents for collective bargaining purposes the 151 teaching faculty personnel of the school headed by Socrates Ruel D. Luayon, Union President.  Sheila A. Rivera
