Davao City – The National Conciliation and Mediation Board RBXI observed the National Women’s Month Celebration. All personnel were encouraged to participate in the month-long activity. Furthermore, the Branch also used the All-Women Cast Lupang Hinirang Video for the whole month of March.

On March 3, 2017, the Branch conducted Cine Juana Film Festival with the movie “Miracles from Heaven” highlighting the love of a mother that is ready to go through any of life’s trials and difficulties to provide her family what is needed.

On March 10-11, the Branch held a two (2) day live-in seminar about “Learning and Development on GAD” at SECDEA Beach Resort, Babak, Island Garden City of Samal. Upon reaching the venue, the NCMB speakers immediately tackled on the Refresher Course on Magna Carta, Gender Mainstreaming and Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) which updates the knowledge on the subject discussed. The activity didn’t stop there because there were also games and open forums to further spread awareness on the significance of Women.

On March 24, 2017, the Branch introduced another Cine Juana Film Festival with the “Fireproof” movie which portrays a husband who constantly argues with his wife which demonstrates psychological violence.

On March 30, 2017, all NCMB RBXI personnel excitedly participated in an energy filled Zumba group session.

One of the Branch personnel also participated in the online advocacy of Philippine Commission on Women initiative #BilangBabae I am a #PartnerForChange.

The whole month was filled with new learnings, refreshed the knowledge and broadened the awareness that men and women are partners for development and success. JED A. BADILLES
