Another Request for Assistance (RFA) was settled amicably filed by Ms. Genely O. Tura on September 5, 2017 against MATS College of Technology on the of underpayment of wages and non-remittance of SSS, Philhealth and Pag-ibig contributions, Supervising LEO Nancy L. Lasquite announced today.
On September 28, 2017, parties identified that the contributions on SSS, Philhealth and Pag-ibig deducted from the requesting party, Ms. Tura, were not remitted by management.
Hence, Tura requested for a refund of her unremitted SSS contributions for the year 2010, 2011 and 2012. Likewise, she requested for a refund of her Pag-ibig contributions as well as the corresponding dividends. She also requested for the issuance of Certificate of Employment.
On October 20, 2017, Ms. Tura requested for a refund of her Philhealth and Pag-ibig contributions.
Management manifested to refund the said claims.
After the persistence of the requesting party and this office to follow-up the presence and action of management, parties reached an agreement on November 2, 2017. Ms. Tura received her money claims in the amount of Thirty Thousand Eight Hundred Four Pesos (P30,804.00).
