Settlement of Lapanday Labor Disputes Leads to Three CBA Conclusions

“We are happy to announce that three Lapanday farms signed Collective Bargaining Agreement following the settlement of their filed cases at Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch XI on May 31, 2019 in Panabo City,” OIC-Director Aerrine Marie Reyes said.

Lapanday Foods Corporation and its Sole and Exclusive Bargaining Agent (SEBA), the LFC Integrated Supervisory Union as well as Lead Export Agro Development Corporation and its unions namely Farmingtown Supervisory Office and Technical Employees Union and Lead Integrated Supervisory Union concluded their CBA after they amicably settled on May 17 and on 22 respectively on the ground of bargaining deadlock.

These three unions filed Notice of Strike for intervention of the regional branch. Hence, the branch conducted series of conciliation conferences and with joint efforts of Conciliator-mediator Oliver Jao, co-Conciliator-mediator Nancy Lasquite and Dir. Reyes, these three companies finally agreed and concluded their CBA.

Integrated Supervisory Union is an affiliate of Associated Professional, Supervisory, Office and Technical Employees Union-Trade Union Congress of the Philippines (APSOTEU-TUCP) and the Sole and Exclusive Bargaining Agent of LFC headed by Mr. Warlito Saraguillas, Union President.

Lead Export and Agro Development Corp. and its union Farmingtown Supervisory Office and Technical Employees Union, is another affiliate of APSOTEU-TUCP and the SEBA of nine supervisory and technical employees headed by Mr. Angelito Pascua, Union President.

Lead Integrated Supervisory Union is also another affiliate of APSOTEU-TUCP and the SEBA of seven supervisory employees of LADC-Evergreen Farm headed by Mr. Bonifacio Lisbos, Union President.
