RCMB XI and DAVAO, Inc. Up for Three (3) Learning Sessions at NCCC

Davao City – The National Conciliation and Mediation Board, Regional Branch No. XI in partnership with the Davao Accredited Voluntary Arbitrators Organization (DAVAO), Inc. Speakers Bureau carried out three (3) learning sessions for three (3) batches initiated by New City Commercial Corp.  This was participated by representatives mostly managers and supervisors from five (5) different areas of NCCC.  This was in connection with their quarterly meeting which they call “Kamustahan”.

“We regularly conduct “Kamustuhan” through a meeting. But this time, it is unique because we hold a learning session”, Richelle Mineses, Assistant Manager said in her opening remarks.

The first batch comprised of management and labor representatives from Areas 1A and 1B was held on October 3, 2018 at NCCC at the 4th Floor, Rooms ABC, NHQ Bldg., Gempesaw Extension, Davao City.  76 participants attended their session coming from Area 1A and 38 were from 1B.

The second batch was held on October 9, 2018 which was attended by representatives from Areas 3A and 3B at the same venue.  23 participants represented 3A and 17 from 3B.

Accredited Voluntary Arbitrator Napoleon Trillanes, one of the officers of DAVAO, Inc. was the resource speaker for the first two (2) batches.  AVA Nap Trillanes discussed about Workers’ Rights and Management Prerogative and Employee Discipline.

The third batch was attended by 38 representatives from Area 2.  This was conducted at Help Desk Area, NCCC Centerpoint, Matina Pangi, Davao City.  Atty. Ronieto B. Bata, one of the AVAs and officers of DAVAO, Inc. was the Resource Speaker for the last batch.

One of the participants said, “The seminar was very informative and well-handled”.

The Speakers Bureau of DAVAO, Inc. is an advocacy of the said association in giving labor education for different companies who are interested to gain knowledge and skills on labor relations.  Some of the topics they offer are Counselling, Coaching, Mentoring and Ccorrecting (COCOMECO), CBA Negotiation process and proposal preparation, rules on contract interpretation, updates on jurisprudence on labor cases and others.  Sheila A.
