NCMB-RBXI Celebrates 31st Founding Anniversary on January 4
“The National Conciliation and Mediation Board, Regional Branch XI celebrated another year of existence through Holy Eucharist and Mass with Father Wong as an expression of our thanksgiving on January 4, 2019 at the Conference Room of the office at AMQ Bldg., Quezon Boulevard, Davao City. This is in line with NCMB’s 31st Founding anniversary,” OIC-Director Aerrine Marie R. Reyes graciously announced today.
This year’s anniversary with a theme: “NCMB SA SAGANDAAN: PATULOY NA ITINATAGUYOD ANG PANG-INDUSTRIYANG KAPAYAPAAN” marks a another year of our mission in facing challenges in labor relation to sustain industrial peace and encourage both labor and management to be one in attaining this goal.
Father Wong filled the room with joy and love as he shared the word of God in his homily. He reminded us, “Celebrating Christmas through party, exchange of gifts or going to a parlour is just part of Christmas but if we still hate our neighbour or brother maybe because he still does not pay his debt until now or keep our baggage in our heart, we are not truly celebrating Christmas”.
Father Wong emphasized “We are nothing but instruments of God. If we are able to settle the labor disputes of companies, it is through the love of Christ. No one can claim his/her credits and no one can boast because after all these things are all from our Lord Jesus Christ”.
“Why did you reach the 31st anniversary? You will not reach this far, if you do not have the love to serve” Father Wong added.
Father Wong ended the mass with the words “Let us fill our heart with love, with the love of Christ”. He also thanked Dir. Reyes and the rest of the Personnel for allowing him to join and be part of the celebration.
Likewise, Dir. Reyes also wholeheartedly thanked Father Wong for giving his precious time despite his hectic schedule to celebrate with us.
After the mass, Father Wong willingly joined for the group picture.
After attending the mass, Personnel and staff including the staff under Government Internship Program (GIP) of DOLE took lunch together which made our activity more meaningful.
Apart from this, the branch also served free goodies such as biscuits, coffee and candies to the clienteles as a way of thanking them for another year of fruitful existence and success.
